I'm now seeing that same compression when I play DVD's (not Blu-Rays). I watched a screener tonight, and the dark scenes looked terrible. Of course, these discs aren't mastered very well (they're for SAG Awards consideration), but I'm now worried that my TV is defective.
I recently bought this model to replace my old Vizio E-50. Blu-Rays look amazing, and I'm very happy overall with the picture quality. However, I've noticed a recurring issue with some channels, especially Netflix and broadcast TV networks. There is a lot of noise floating in the background that...
I was also torn between the two models you mentioned. I wound up getting the Vizio P-55 F1 because my previous Vizio (the E series, 50-inch) had served me so well. And the reviews for this model were top notch from every reputable site. Also, I read that the TCL logo on the bottom center of the...
I've been comparing these two models online, and they seem almost identical in features. But the C1 is around $500 while the F1 is closer to $800. This will be my first 2160p TV. I currently own a Vizio E series 50-inch that I've had a little over 4 years. I've been very happy with it, but I'm...
Now the right channel has gone out and the left channel is working. I've done every imaginable troubleshooting tactic I can find. I've switched speaker wires, switched the RCA cable that runs from the TV to the receiver, etc. Nothing is consistent.
My BR player only has an HDMI output - no RCA...
The RCA cables are connecting the audio out from the TV to the back of the receiver. There's no other way to connect the two. There's no HDMI input on the receiver.
It's always the left channel regardless of which speaker I'm using.
I'm still waiting for a complete set of remastered episodes of "One Step Beyond" (1959). Many episodes have been released on DVD, but they look terrible with scratches, missing scenes, and bad audio.
Here's my set-up:
Pioneer Andrew Jones FS-52 floor speakers (2)
Yamaha V502 receiver
Vizio E50 C-1 television
Samsung Blu-Ray player (not sure of model #; several years old)
I have speakers connected with 12-gauge wire and Rocketfish gold-plated banana plugs. All my connections are tight. I...
Yes it did go away. But I had to turn it so far down that I could barely hear it. And it wasn't that loud to begin with. It's only happening in one speaker, so if I was overpowering them, why wouldn't it happen in both? Could I have a bad connection with crappy wire?
I'm just very frustrated...
I recently bought a pair of these speakers as they were rated one of the best in their price range (I paid $166 new off Ebay). I've been watching movies on both Blu Ray and DVD as well as playing CD's. But last week, one of the speakers started to buzz whenever the lower bass notes sounded. I...
I decided to go with a pair of Pioneer SP-FS52 floor speakers instead. They got the best reviews in their price range, and I was able to pick them up for a great price off Ebay. Thanks for your reply.
After using the same four speakers for 40 years (yes, you read that right), I've decided to go with an updated surround sound system. I've been looking at the VIZIO SB3851 38-Inch 5.1 Channel Sound Bar as it's in my price range. Has anyone had any experiences with this model?
Since I'm new to...
