I got my 2nd season set of Pete & Pete for my birthday. I've been watching these episodes and I can definitely see why people love this show. I hated it when it was originally on, but it was because I didn't really get it. Now I do, and they're pretty good. X=Y and Yellow Fever are hilarious...
Looking through some of the shows that got DVD releases, there's a bunch I've never even heard of before. Yet Paramount won't finish Pete & Pete and get to the others . No one can tell me these DVDs didn't sell well, at least for Pete & Pete. It got decent critic reviews (I remember the...
Friday is my 23rd birthday. I plan on getting the second season of Pete & Pete. Not that getting it will work miracles and Viacom/Nick will go, "hey! Someone bought another copy! Ok, we can go release the rest and start with YCDTOTV now...", but it's just time I get it, along with the last...
Ok, ok, ok, it probably was illogical. It wasn't that I didn't care about Pete & Pete, though. I can sort of appreciate it now more than I did then. Would it have been a good idea of Nickelodeon continued the Rewind DVDs and put them up for order exclusively on their official website, and...
I am so bummed. I went wild over the Clarissa and Pete & Pete releases. Then when the 2nd season of Pete & Pete came out, I refused to buy it because of the lack of more Clarissa. Then we got word that Nickelodeon put the DVD series on hold while the shakeups with Nick and Viacom were being...
Thanks for the link, Steve_Z, because NOW I'm definitely sticking with what Josh said as HE knows people directly from Nickelodeon. Read that thread again that you provided us the link to. Just some random person said that who never provided a working link that states what will be on the next...
Well, I think when season 2 of Pete & Pete is dropped in November, we'll already have the whole series. There was only two seasons of that show, right? So we'll have that one out the way already. I don't think we have to wait for all of Clarissa to be released before new shows are added to the...
Ok, I just wanted to say that the rumor about Kenan & Kel, All That, and Figure It Out most likely is NOT true. I posted about it at the You Can't Do That On Television forum on the website. Here's what Josh Yawn had to say (someone who has close friends at Nickelodeon): "There's no way...
Definitely a bootleg. The only authentic DVD set is the 6 disc set from Cabin Fever with a box art resembling that of the original VHS set. That's how you'll know what's real and what's bootleg. It came from Cabin Fever just before Hallmark bought the rights to the Hal Roach library. It...
YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON TELEVISION is also on my wishlist, even though I collected all the existing episodes by tape-trading over the last 5 years. I want them officially released to DVD and I'll buy every one of them. Hey Dude is another one I highly anticipate. Salute Your Shorts- yet another one.
More "Nickelodeon Rewind Collection" sets, including You Can't Do That On Television, Hey Dude, and Salute Your Shorts. Everything else I'm waiting for, they're obviously going to come out (season 7 of South Park, season 6 of Three's Company, etc etc etc).
Again, like someone else pointed out, news on Looney Tunes is posted at TVShowsOnDVD.com before anyone else. Therefore, there shouldn't be a problem posting about this here. If you don't like the thread, which the title makes it clear what the thread is all about, ignore it. Is it important...
I just ordered a used copy of the first season on DVD from half.com for $35. It should be authentic as they said nothing about any foreign language on the package. I'm just still waiting for the order to be confirmed. :)
I was thinking about getting the Asian/Chinese set on eBay, but the problem is that there are 37 DVDs for seasons 1-5 while the U.S. version has 20 (or 22, I forget). Why are there so many discs in this set? What else did they put on the DVDs for crying out loud? That's like an average of 1-2...
1). I like to watch the show anytime I want and I don't always have time to watch the show between 10pm-midnight. 2). The picture quality is the best on these DVDs than any other form of media. I'm on dialup, by the way, so it would be impossible to download them if I wanted to anyway. 3)...
He must have been mistaken then. I agree that around $50 is too much for Highway to Heaven. I'm already spending that kind of money on I Love Lucy. :-/
I wouldn't mind getting Highway to Heaven, but is season one really going for $90 at some places, like my dad said as he saw it at Best Buy??? Helloooo!
I just think it's kind of odd that season 5 has been out for 4 months now and I haven't heard anything about season 6 coming out yet. I know we'll hear something eventually, but still. Maybe it's always been like this. I haven't been collecting South Park DVDs for that long. I LOVE this...
If you go to boards at YCDTOTV.com you'll find someone who has a connection to Nickelodeon (friends with employees, including programming, but he doesn't work for them), and he says that Nickelodeon is looking at You Can't Do That on Television, Hey Dude, and Salute Your Shorts for future DVD...
