I recently have gotten HD on my local cable provider. There is only one provider here in Alaska, and it really is the only viable HD solution in Alaska. With that said, I really have no other option to obtain HD programming. DOwnstairs I have a 5 year old 56" Panasonic rear-projection...
That was my concern with going with Paradigm rear surrounds, Boston just didn't offer a comparable model in that price range, actully, no one did. The AVR has the Auto-EQ feature, but everytime I use it, it seems to screw up. It sets everything to +12, and the sub to -5.5, for whatever...
I'm not new at all in reguards to stereo, but it's been quite a few years since my car audio days, working for the 2 shops I was employed at through my college years. With that said, I went out a few years ago and bought a Bose AM15 set, then the widescreen a couple years later. Now that I have...
I own a PDR 10, demoed it right along side and HSU STF-2 watching Spiderman 2. I can honestly say, I was not as impressed for $430 as I was from the $220 I paid for my PDR 10. I also demoed alot of Boston subs, some well more then 400 bucks, soem B&W and MK subs as well. I found the Paradigm...
I'm not sure what Athena has to offer, but compared to high end floor standings, I have a set of AS-F2's that I use upstairs in the loft for music listening, you could check out best buy and see what they have in terms of a 5.1 system. I always thought for what they cost, they sound very clean.
SOrry, I misread what you wrote. I thought you meant a set, as in 2. Then I realized you had the JBL 6.1 system up there. I assumed you only meant 2. Sorry for the confusion.
If your referring to the amount of bass, yes, I guess it's worth it. But, like all the other Star Wars films, I thought it was WAY oversampled. In some scenes, it sounds downright out of place. But, it sounds pretty incredible with a nice sub, I just didn't find it to fit the movie very well.
Going to order this week, I think. Boston Acoustic CR75's up front Boston CRC center Paradigm Cinema ADP's in the rear. Paradigm PDR-10 sub. Already purchased a Denon AVR-2805 and today bought a DVM-1815. Already have a Panasonic 56" RP TV. This system is replacing a Bose AM15 setup...
Yeah, it turned out after reading the book, I had to flick the interlace switching to progressive, and some other things. Overreacted a bit I guess. I can't believe Panasonic won't fix my DVD player for free. I found probably 10-12 cases of the H07 code or H02 code, the dead motor code on...
After reading your post, I went back and checked, everything is hooked up correctly. I also played another movie, and lines don't seem to be on the Bad Boys II DVD, or Matrix Revolutions. Just seems it's the LoTR DVD, thus far. With that said, this DVD is quite nice, what an amazing...
Went out this morning and bought a DVM-1815. Well, I got it home, hooked it up, and on The Fellowship of the Ring, it isn't a true 16:9 movie. So, naturally I get the black lines. Well, on the top, and the bottom where the black lines start, inside the picture about a 1/4 inch in, there is a...
