I didn't mind Alan Alda in the first couple of seasons...but Hawkeye in general, and Alan Alda in particular, then the entire tone of the whole show began to annoy me.
Two and a Half Men...though it seems a little less funny now that Charlie Sheen is unraveling at the seams....
Other than that...my favorites all seem to be stalled... Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction....
Modern shows are put out after the first few episodes it...
1. Green Acres 2. Petticoat Junction....time for the color episodes to come on out... 3. The Beverly Hillbillies 4. Night Gallery 5. Alfred Hitchcock Presents... 6. The Bob Newhart Show
Finally got my copy online...they didn't have it stocked anywhere I looked in the Albuquerque area...It was great to see this show again. It WAS very Lucy-ish...why not??? Desi produced it. That Carol Channing Pilot was interesting..as was a special performance by Eve Arden and Cyd Charisse...
The George Burns & Gracie Allen Show The Jack Benny Show I Married Joan The Brian Keith Show aka The Little People Pistols n Petticoats Green Acres Seasons 4-6 Petticoat Junction Seasons 3-7 The Beverly Hillbillies Seasons 4-9 Bob (Bob Newhart's too quickly cancelled 1992 sitcom)...
Has anyone heard any news on the release of Season three???? I sure would love to start seeing some of the color episodes. I especially am interested in seeing the crossovers with Green Acres. I've seen the PJ crossovers to GA but haven't seen so much of the GA crossovers to PJ,
I Saw one of those unaired pilots on YouTube....Archie and Edith were good but the actors who played Mike, Gloria and Lionel were not the best...I can see why THAT one was unaired.
Gotta finish up That Girl....catch up on the Beverly Hillbillies, McHales Navy, Petticoat Junction, Married with Children, Bewitched. God I hate being PO!!!!
"Oh how I hated those preachy, liberal sitcoms from the 70's where every virtue became a vice and every vice became a virtue. Not all sitcoms from that era fell into this trap, but many did. One Day at a Time is a perfect example (as was Maude)."
Actually I was surprised by the DVDS of...
1. The Burns & Allen Show 2. The Jack Benny Show 3. Pistols 'n Petticoats 4. He & She 5. The Lucy Show 6. I Married Joan (Season Sets) 7. Dobie Gillis 8. The Bob Cummings Show 9. Bob (Newhart) 1992 10. The Courtship of Eddie's Father
I've seen at least one of the AITF pilots...the one I saw the actors who played Mike, Gloria and Lionel weren't very good. So.....No great loss as far as I'm concerned. NO WAY will I buy this set. Sorry, but Norman Lear's mug on the cover isn't a good enough reason to buy this set...ALL of which...
I wouldn't mind seeing either one of these again....but haven't they announced The Ghost & Mrs. Muir before now???? I figured it was just one of those things they announced and then discarded before the release date...like Bridget Loves Bernie.

I really enjoyed seeing it again. The cast is very talented, though I found some of the humor to be rather dated. Alot of what was controversial in 1968 isn't shocking at all now...all in all, though, it's worth a look just for the cast, including a young Goldie Hawn.
