    Denon 1603 - source switching

Jack - thanks for your reply. I will do some more setup on the DVD player to get the DTS and DVD outputs enabled. I hadn't thought of looking at the DVD player as the culprit. As for the connections...not having to buy another component video cable and S-Video cable will save me some money...

    Denon 1603 - source switching

I'm really a newbie here so forgive my ignorance...I'm in the process of setting up my first HT... I've only got two sources running into my Denon 1603 - a Sony progressive scan DVD player, and a Motorolla digital cable box. In getting ready to plug everything in, I purchased a (1) component...

42-47" RPTVs, down to 3 models

Matt - I pulled the trigger on a Panny yesterday from OneCall. I felt like they gave me a really good deal with the various discounts and price matching and they were a pleasure to deal with - very helpful and patient with all my rudimentary questions. Now I've got the 5-7 "business days" of...

42-47" RPTVs, down to 3 models

Matt, John, Mike - Thanks for the replies. Right now I'm leaning toward the Panny after hearing that it has a screen protector. I just don't want to be sitting in front of the 42" Tosh and be wishing I had a bigger screen. Later, Jeff

42-47" RPTVs, down to 3 models

Mike - that's the exact price and model from Onecall that I'm looking at and they ("Matt" at Onecall) told me it doesn't have a screen protector - only the more expensive upgraded version Panny does - HMMM...I guess if you've got the TV right there and it has a screen protector, then that is...

Newbie narrowing search for RPTV - advice?

I'm officially new to the forum today but have be browsing as a guest here for a couple of weeks. The wealth of knowledge freely shared is amazing! Hi Matt - I'm new to the forum and this is my first post so bear with me. By spending the better part of 3 days researching RPTV's locally and via internet forums, I've basically narrowed my search down to 2 of the 3 models you list as your final choices...the Panasonic and the Toshiba...
