The online listings for many volumes of this series have "(edited)" attached to the title. Anyone know why? Are there edited and non-edited versions? Or is it simply a matter of stitching together multi-episode storylines into one long "movie"? Thanks!

I've come across releases by at least three different companies, the most recent released on Jan. 6 according to one source. But newer isn't necessarily better, so does anyone know which DVD release has the best image quality, etc? Thanks!
