Hi Joe My price was with a mail in rebate and the factory warranty. Those prices are pretty easy to find with an internet search. Infocus was offering a $300 rebate on their IN** projectors, but I think the "buy by" date has passed for that particular rebate. Good luck on your sale!! Tracy
Hi and thanks for looking Building my second theater, first time with a projector. I have bought a Monster MPHTS3500 power conditioner and would like to run all of my components thru it, including my projector. I am planning on having a dedicated circuit run to where my in wall rack will be...
If you want invisible bass (can't see "the box"), might I suggest an infinite baffle? It will make an SVS wimper, from what I'm told. I have never heard an SVS, but I do have an infinite baffle..... OMG. Read about the infinite baffle here --Cult of the Infinitely Baffled You can see pictures...
You appear to have good woodworking skillz, how about a frame that is covered with material and slides into the opening a pre-detrmined depth using some stops. something like magnetic cabinet (it's late and I can't come up with the correct term) thingies that hold cabinet doors shut. You could...
Greg I agree, I even looked at some prefab doors at Home Depot, but I had a hard time finding sizes I needed, and those were actually expensive. I had 5 doors custom made to fit my openings exactly (none were the same width, lol, but they were within an inch or so). It cost me about $140...
Chris Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! Now for the hard question. Have you added up your expenditures on this project? I estimated that I spent roughly $1000 in materials on mine using 3/4 Birch ply and having someone build the cabinet doors so I didn't have to. But the satisfaction of saying...
Mine does take up an entire wall (between 2 doorways) 11 feet wide, 9 feet tall. And it took about 2 weekends to get constructed by a friend who is into woodwork, and the next 6 months or so for me to finish (some trim work, getting cabinet doors made, several coats of paint, etc etc)
Hey Chris Look in this thread and you can see the start on the build I did around my 57" Toshiba. It's finished now and looks great. It's a little late right now to try and post finished pics, but if I can get around to it in the next couple of days I'll post some for you. I had 5 cabinet...
I was going to get started setting up my BFD with the setup guide on snapbug, but for some reason can't get to it. Anyone have any info about this or where else this guide could be located? Thanks Tracy
Hey Darren I've got a QSC RMX850 powering my dual AV15 IB. I've had it connected for about 2 weeks now and cannot hear the fan unless I'm standing right in front of it. At seating position (probably about 10 feet away from the amp), even during quiet times of a movie, I can't hear it. QSC...
OMG I finally got this thing hooked up after months of waiting on drivers, and working on it a bit at a time. I've done no fiddling with it yet, just hooked it up and turned it on. Haven't even installed the BFD yet. WOW!!!!! At first I had to wonder if it was even on. I set all of my...
Thanks again Thomas I saw that diagram and that is most like what I am trying to accomplish, except that after wiring the VC's in series, they wired the speakers parallel, halving the ohms to 2. I'm going to wire the VC's series then series the speakers for 8 ohms. I guess the thing about...
Just for giggles, I put a meter on the VC's to check my wiring. With all VC's hooked in series, leaving one POS and one NEG on each speaker open, I got around 5.5 to 6 ohms. Checking each speaker with the VC's run in series, I got around 2.7 to 3 ohms. Checking each VC I got 1.3 to 1.6...
Thanks Thomas, I did read that before, over and over and over............ I did not see the exact configuration that I am wanting to hook up. Drawing it out on paper, I think this may be correct to get an 8 ohm load and hook up to amp.. connect one + to - between the VC's on each...
WOOOOHOOOOO :star::star::star::star::star: Labor is almost done (save for actually cutting the hole in the ceiling) drivers are installed in the manifold and the manifold is braced!!!! Just a couple of wiring questions..... I think I want to wire the two av15's series/series to give me...
Those of you with IB's, what have you used to cover the manifold hole? I went to Lowes and looked at their 20 x 20 air returns, but didn't like them. I'm looking for something to blend more with the white ceiling. We looked at some egg crate fluorescent light covers, but not invisible enough for...
Thanks Allen I was leaning towards 8ohms bridged with running the subs in series (with an 8ohm load). Are there any differences in running the amp in 8ohm vs 4ohm other than the increase in wattage output and the increase in THD? Is the increase in power the only plus to running 4ohm?
Here is what I've got to finish my IB with: Two DVC (2ohm per coil) AV 15 (in a ~20"^3 manifold) BFD QSC RMX850 capable of: Stereo Mode 8 ohms 200 watt per channel 0.1% THD 4 ohms 300 watt per channel 0.1% THD 2 ohms 430 watt per channel 1.0% THD Bridged Mono 8 ohms 600 watt 0.1...
