Do you think that just because you were the first person to post a response that you were also the first person to send me a PM? Based on your response to another 3803 that you missed out on, I guess you're just frustrated. I'm sure you'll be able to snag one eventually....especially once the...
*SOLD* Item is in perfect condition. I have the remote, am antenna, fm antenna, and manual. $300 + actual shipping costs from Chicagoland (UPS or FedEx....your choice).
I bought this and ended up not needing it.....so I can't say it's "new" but I can say it has "never been used." Zinwell WB68 Wide-band 6x8 Multi-Switch for Ka/Ku Dish Antenna Same model DirecTV installers are using $65 shipped anywhere in Continental USA.
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have now seen a few posts about Samsung HL-S61* sets and poor SD picture quality. I just purchased an HL-S6188W (should be here on Saturday) and now I'm freaking out. I currently have a 5-year old Pioneer SD-582HD5 (58", non-elite, CRT RPTV), so I'm...
Does anybody know if DirecTV will carry the new TNT HD network when it launches in May (NBA Western Conference finals)? I know DirecTV carried TNT's HD coverage of NBA All-Star weekend, but I've been unable to find any information regarding whether or not they will carry the network when it...
Denon 3803. I've had mine for about a year and have been very pleased. I have component and s-video running into the receiver.....only need component coming out.
If your TV has two component inputs, then you're all set....just run one of your components directly into the TV. I'd recommend the DVD player since some say that running video through your receiver degrades the picture quality.
I concur....weak episode....great contest! Question: I finally got an antenna about a month ago. The first episode of Las Vegas we watched was widescreen. The last 2 have been standard 4x3. Is this the show, or something freaky going on in my setup? Yes, I'm watching the digital channel (5-1...
I'm in the same boat as Nick B....I have a 3803 and am considering both the 2200 and 2900 (primarily for movies). I would also be very interested in finding out if the above opinions change with the absence of a processor.
Buy a Pronto (or other remote control with macros). This will allow you to hit one button and the receiver input and TV input will both change. Without the Pronto, my wife would never be able to switch from watching a DVD to watching TiVo to watching HD!
I just picked up the Linksys Wireless-G Game Adapter last week and it's been working great. I can't speak to whether or not the "game adapter" and the WAP are really the same thing, but the game adapter has worked well so far.
I live in Chicagoland and have had both digital cable and satellite. We had AT&T digital cable for a while (now Comcast) and 21st Century (RCN) and both were very comparable. I now subscribe to DirecTV. It has been my experience that satellite provides better picture quality, particularly on...
In-Wall or In-Ceiling speakers....which are "preferred"? The wife has had enough of the Klipsch RS-3's on the wall...so, now that we're building a new house, I need to make a decision between in-wall or in-ceiling speaker placement. Is one "better" (I know this is subjective) than the other...
I have not been impacted by any of the bugs mentioned above. Television: Pioneer SD-582-HD5 (RPTV) Video Sources: Satellite Rcvr: Sony SAT-A65 (S-Video) Satellite Rcvr: Hughes HDVR2 (S-Video) DVD: Panasonic RP91 (Component) PS2 (Component) XBOX (S-Video)
I also have a Panasonic RP91 and just upgraded my receiver to the Denon 3803. Previously, I had been running the Panny directly into my RPTV via component cables. Now, I'm running into the 3803 via component, and connecting the 3803 to my RPTV via component. Personally, I don't notice a...
Came up with a simple solution: run composite out from my two SAT receivers to my TVs INPUT2 and INPUT3 (while still running S-Video from each SAT receiver to my A/V receiver). Since I have a Pronto, I can program some simple macros to change the TVs inputs when I want to use PIP. The TV can...
PIP and Denon AVR-3803 I am very seriously considering picking up a Denon AVR-3803. Before I do so, I want to make sure I'll be able to use the PIP feature of my TV. I have an Hughes HDVR2 and a Sony SAT-A65 running into my television. My TV has a split-screen PIP. Currently, not running...
