In-Wall or In-Ceiling speakers....which are "preferred"?

The wife has had enough of the Klipsch RS-3's on the wall...so, now that we're building a new house, I need to make a decision between in-wall or in-ceiling speaker placement. Is one "better" (I know this is subjective) than the other?

I'm looking at getting either the RCR-3's (in-ceiling) or RCW-3's (in-walls) as my surrounds, so I would think that they are very comparable in quality. I'm assuming either would mate nicely with my RF-3s and RC-3.

The room is u-shaped with no-wall in the rear. So, in-walls would be on side walls.

What about getting a pair of each for 7.1? Good idea? Bad idea?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking, in-wall speakers are much preferred to in-ceiling. If you were talking the mains (Front L/R) it would be a no-brainer, but for the rears it may be a closer call. Me, I'd still go for in-wall.
