i've a rotel 1066 on my shortlist by i was surprised to know that it doesn't decode DD-EX? why is that (Denon 3803 is it's rival on my shortlist and does it) ???? it decodes dts-es but as far as dolby only 5.1!!!! i thought i was certain i would buy this piece but now don't know what to do...

Can't do! Do yourself a favour and buy a denon. there's certainly one within your budget!
