The disks in question were clean and scratch free. Most of the movies I've noticed it on were my own, not rentals. The fact that it froze rewinding a scene on "I Am Legend" last night prompted my post. I also emailed Toshiba, but they haven't responded yet. Mine comes back fine too. I don't...
I've got a HD-A2 player and I bumped it to 2.8 when the disk came recently. Since the update, I've noticed my player freezing when I try and rewind. It's doing it on multiple disks, both old and new, but it's not consistent. I've tried unplugging it for a while, but it hasn't made a difference...
How do the Panasonic's hold up...any long term owners want to chime in. As you can see above, I'm seeing a pattern of self destruction in the 12-16 month time frame.
I need help. I seem to have really bad luck with DVD players. My first DVD player was the infamous Sony S560D with all it's problem. My second was a Toshiba SD-4700 which I loved. It would play anything I threw at it. Unfortunately, it recently started having problems with certain titles just...

Toshiba 4700 The first time I played it, mine froze up during the scene where they're brewing the potion in the bathroom and Moaning Myrtle appears the first time. Right before the Wizards Duel. Anyway, pulled the disk, wiped it off, played fine afterwards.
I can usually re-watch most war movies, but I'll have to throw in for Patton and Kelly's heroes as two of my favorites. Also, I don't believe anyone's mentioned Stalingrad yet. It's a German movie that shows the battle from a German point of view. I believe it's from the producers of Das Boot.
Rumor mill...UPN is said to be expressing interest in picking up the series or perhaps co-financing it for rights to the reruns. Don't know how reliable this is, but I'm hoping.
Also, from Chat I attended with Kemper, season five is already written, and it is the end of the story. Not sure if...
