I agree with James... if it's space that's your main concern, definitely go with the HTS2000. It has exactly the same filtering. The HTS2500 was made for people who wanted the HTS2000 but preferred a rack mount.
I rented this last night and after the sitting through the movie, I was so very glad that I didn't buy the disc. It was really bad. Acting was bad, the transfer was rather bad and the story had a lot of holes not to mention being a real yawner. The featurette was even worse. I don't think that...
They would work with your standard 12Ga wires like the one you get from home depot and stuff. However, I noticed that some 12Ga wires are much much thicker than others. So, you might want to check. I've used them only with the standard 12ga wires and they are pretty good.
Charles.. are you sure that it's a Region 1 disc? Did you check the back of the disc to make sure that it's not dirty or anything. BTW it's "firmware".
I would think that the modded RP91 would be the Ultimate Worldwide DVD Player for the rest of the world (besides US and Canada). The thing is that in the rest of the world, multisystem TVs are a norm and one would not want any PAL->NTSC conversion. I for one would definitely not want any...
Yeah... I was surprised when I saw that it said Dolby Surround on the rear packaging. I didn't bother to look too closely at first because I'm a huge Sting fan and bought it regardless.
I was thinking of using 2 bookshelves (4ohms) in series instead of a single rear center channel. I tried putting 2 8ohm bookshelves in series (making it 16ohms). Unfortunately, it really changed the tonality of the speakers.
I love my RX-V3000 that I've been using for about a year now. I did demo the RX-V1000 and it does sound brighter than the V3000. I chose the Yamaha over the Denon 3801 'coz it sounded a lot more natural to me. Just my 2c.
Is there anything different between the version of POTA that Bestbuy is selling and the ones elsewhere? The one from Bestbuy has a sticker that says that it includes a CDROM which Apes "Extras". What are the extras?
I got 2 emails from them after the original confirmation. The first informing me that they did not have 2 of the discs I ordered available and the 2nd email about 2 days ago informing me that the discs that were available had shipped. Also included the new total. Now all I need is for the discs...
Yeah... it's strange. I was really surprised to see it on display at one of the large B&Ms around here. I've never seen any of the B&Ms in my area till this week. I saw the Grinch on the shelves at another store on Sunday. I wouldn't buy it and will wait till the actual street date because the...
Has anyone seen this title around yet? It was supposed to be released yesterday but even the online retailers list is as preorder with the release date as 11/20. What gives?
My whole HT setup runs is 110V and I run everything off the Monster Power HTS2000 surge protector/power conditioner bar. However, I need to return home to a 240V country. I will then need to have a step-down transformer.
My question is does it make sense to use my HTS2000 after the step-down...
Adam, PAL does NOT alter the soundtrack. The speed up only occurs when you watch PAL DVDs on NTSC machines that are region free or when you watch PAL VCDs. If you had a PAL machine and watched a PAL DVD/VCD, the soundtrack will be played at the correct speed.
Did the MSRP on this change as well? I kinda remembered that it was much cheaper than VE at around $15 street. Now dvdpricesearch lists it at around $30.
What gives?
