I'm looking for recommendations for any 4 ohm surround speakers. I would like to use them for my rears. Thanks in advance.

Any particular reason you want them to be 4Ohm?

If your receiver is rated for 4 Ohm speakers, it will certainly not have any trouble with 8 Ohm speakers. If you're worried about matching output levels, and you have a Dolby Digital receiver, you should be able to adjust relative volumes between the fronts and rears.

That being said, the speakers from Ascend Acoustics are both great values and 4 Ohm loads.

Axiom has a great 4 ohm speaker, the QS-8.

It's a quad pole, the tweeters fire outward on different angles and the woofers fire up and down.

I was thinking of using 2 bookshelves (4ohms) in series instead of a single rear center channel. I tried putting 2 8ohm bookshelves in series (making it 16ohms). Unfortunately, it really changed the tonality of the speakers.
