also, if/when i figure out how to enable this in the service menu, what would it take if anything to go back to watching normal 4:3 sources like cable? would i have to switch back and forth every time?
hey all, i just purchased this tv today and i must say im pretty happy with it. im not a pro but it looks amazingly sharp and the color looks great. i heard that you can get into the tech menu on this unit to enable v-compression, is this true? if so how do i do it? a website would be great...
this is a funny topic. my gf started out playing marioKart on n64, she loves that game and is actually very good at it. she got me the xbox for christmans and weve been playing a lot of Fusion Frenzy ( a very fun game i might add w/ beer and friends :) ). recently i brought home DOA3 and was...
nope it has hardware realtime DD 5.1 encoding. Every sound you hear in game is encoded and of course your reciever/processor decodes it to 5.1 channels

also anand from anandtech.com is in one of my classes. he goes...

heh untill my tempest and supplies come in, im using a JL 12w3 in a car audio box powered by an old reciever. Its far from great but its not horrible.
If your on a budget it might be easiest just to spend $50 on some computer speakers with a sub. Probably cheaper than the sum of the parts itd...
well im not sure. do you think its possible to change it w/o seeing the glue stains?
Since the edges will be lighter than the oak, i thought about staining the edges just natural, and the oak somewhat dark redish. I go to NCSU (red and white) har har. might look nice too.
but if itll turn out...
