The IMAX 3D experience was simply awesome! Give yourself and others this gift if you have the rare opportunity. It was something that I'll never forget.
I second Matt's pick of Halloween 1,2, and H20. The best story arc of the series which just so happens to feature Jamie Lee, H8 notwithstanding. Not even she could resurrect that one.
Oh, I wasn't complaining Joe. I was just pleasantly surprised. I was unaware BASIC cable channels could get away with uncensored programming, regardless of warnings or late-night timeslots. Good for those of us without PPV, HBO, etc. Plus, I can watch it whenever with DVR.
Anyone aware of their Secret Stash series? http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_show...centralmovies/ I was flipping through the channels last night when I had to do a double take! Did I just hear Chris Rock drop the f-bomb on regular cable?? Maybe other channels will follow suit! :)
Sarah Lancaster was the main reason I checked this out. Unfortunately, she wasn't utilized enough(even if she is just a dealer). Friday night is a tough night to grow a show. I don't think it has a future either. Hopefully, Sarah will come back to Everwood somehow.
Yeah, The Don doesn't appreciate when one of his hand-picked applicants(out of a MILLION!) throws his "new rule" back in his face. Wasted opportunity. I wouldn't have been surprised if he had fired ALL four on the spot, sort of like pulling a Benefactor.
I was mostly pleased with this new, younger incarnation. The voices, animation, and tone were thankfully on par with the earlier series. However, some of the coloring was distracting(green and red skies). The style resembles The Batman-Superman Adventures, which had a more "cartoonish"...
Hey, Todd, there's no reason to explain or be embarrassed over watching it. :) The babysitting scene was very effective, as I would bet few have seen it. Pretty good movie. I am 99% positive that no heads fell down the stairs. Actually, I don't remember ANY shots of the kids whatsoever...
I wonder if Ken has considered any other game shows, especially Millionaire?
I imagine he would judge it as easier and quicker money.
Not that he would need any help, but it offers those
lifelines, multiple choice, no competitors to buzz out, and "unlimited" time to answer the question...
I'm quite the horror fan as well, yet there are few films that hold up. These are the ones that have made my cut: Exorcist 3 The Shining Nightmare on Elm Street 1 Halloween Texas Chainsaw Massacre Blair Witch Project(not a typical movie production, but has a real feel to it through the...
I was also tempted to walk out on Batman&Robin and Godzilla. Ditto for Escape from LA, even though I'm a fan of NY. All showed potential in their trailers, but failed to deliver a competent film. I do tend to fast forward through some movies when they fail to keep up the pace. I don't have...
The commentary was the main reason I rented it. I thought Cameron had provided a commentary on the special edition laserdisc, but that is the same 26 person edit found on the ultimate dvd. I'm glad it was a recent conversation(2/03) as he refers to his films since T2. It is nice to see that he...
Hey, he just has their best interests in mind/at heart. I try to give my parents the same advice when they are lobbying for an expensive purchase. Buying a TV is far different than a blender or air conditioner, especially for older parents.
Being a horror fan myself, I didn't think much of Halloween 3. The first, second, and H20 are the best of the series.
I haven't seen the latest though...
BTW, the AMC documentary(Backstory) is pretty interesting.
I tried searching for past threads but it was unavailable.
Also, Amazon only lists Batman Beyond: The Movie, BB: Return of the Joker, and Mask of the Phantasm.
It would be a shame for Warner Brothers to ignore this animated series for DVD.
Hopefully, they will release ALL of the episodes(100+?)
