The Denon menus have Standard and Enhanced settings for HDMI connections and need to be set to Enhanced to get the full bandwidth enabled. Denon defaults all the HDMI to Standard out of the box.
Part 2 in this series continues as the framing, low voltage and insulation work takes place. WARNING: Video includes archival footage from shaky camera stock using older equipment. Please forgive the quality in parts.
Follow along as I show you my journey from raw unfinished basement, to completed home theater and everything it took to get there in this first part of a three episode series.
On my youtube channel I have already covered building a complete 11 channel Home Theater system, I built a 9 channel gaming/media room system and now I have a dedicated 2 channel music room in the works. I have a 4 part video series of the new dedicated 2 channel music room that needed some...
A lot has changed since I first posted this thread. As far as I can tell, no one cares. But I do and here's the unboxing video I put together of the first piece of the new system. The Cocktail Audio X45 High Resolution Audio player and DAC.
I see a lot of people have looked at this post and I totally forgot about it. I'll put up a link to the finished project and following that a whole new 2 channel project I am working on.
As of this moment, several changes to the design have taken place. I've cross posted this topic with other AV Forums and have been getting lots of input the psat several days.
The speakers are no longer SVS Ultra. I have pre-ordered as pair of Philharmonic BMR Towers in gloss piano black.
The...
Now that I'm done with the 11 channel Home Theater and 9 channel Gaming room, I've decided to tackle a basic 2 channel listening room.
My wife and I are about to convert a spare bedroom that rarely ever gets used and is mostly just a storage room into a full fledged listening room. I posted...
Just an FYI, I have more codes to give away on my channel in the next couple weeks. I'll try to get a batch posted by the end of the weekend and another batch by the end of next week. Only subscribers with alerts are notified of the giveaways!
I haven't been told by a single person that they redeemed a code. I've given away codes many times in the past and to this day I haven't received a single thank you or acknowledgement that the code was used. I just assumed no one wanted them.
I put together a video on my youtube channel to celebrate hitting 1000 subs by giving away codes for 15 movies. I haven't received a single word from anyone on any of my social media platforms indicating they are getting used. Maybe digital codes are crap and most everyone knows it? I'll post...
I've been asked by those following my home theater build videos over the past couple years to post a current and complete walk through video.
I finally got around to documenting the completed basement build. It took me over two years from design to final build of what you see here and I did it...
I'm sure my "from scratch" fiber optic star ceiling isn't elitist enough for most but I put together a video on how I built it. Maybe those more budget minded DIY folks looking through this thread will get some ideas from it. I wanted to paint on the stars but also wanted to use the ceiling as...
The latest video showcasing my mindset on what I originally wanted to do with my home theater plans vs what I had to do to honor the film-makers vision using triple black velvet!
I have the Terminator 2 - Judgement Day: Zavvi Exclusive 4K Ultra HD 30th Anniversary Endo Skull coming not because I need another Terminator movie but because it actually has something to collect and show off.
I have a video on how I made my cheap panels that eliminated slap echo if you're interested. They are still great "acoustic" panels. I say slap echo because people have gotten completely bent out of shape because of the materials I used with almost the same results.
Brand New Onkyo TX-RZ50 Audio Video Receiver with multiple HDMI 2.1 Inputs and DIRAC audio calibration built in! Barley used and in mint condition. Have to sell for financial reasons otherwise no way in hell would I part with it. AVR is impossible to obtain right now. If you can buy it and take...
I put together a video showing how I ended up having over 30 Klipsch speakers in my home. Let me know how many speakers you have in the comments section!
I'm not about to read through 14 pages and hundreds of comments to address the original topic so I have no idea how badly it veered off tangent, if at all.

Unskippable cutscenes.
Large open worlds filled with pointless side and fetch missions resulting in nothing more than extended development time and costs. Looking at you Far Cry.
Quick Time Events.
Call of Duty campaigns knocking you on your azz and someone else lending you a hand to get back...
I watched these and they were great. I did an unboxing video of the M.Myers discs below. Amazon refused to post my reviews publicly even after I gave the titles 4 stars and raved about them but briefly mentioned the poor handling from Amazon shipping which is documented in my video. All my...
I just watched all the films too and find this list to be accurate.
What I noticed most about the entire experience is Michael Myers is less the star of the show with very littles screen time. However, Halloween Kills was a remarkable change in form as it actually starred Myers front and center...
