yup...the sub is indeed 4ohm. I just disconnected all the wires and the amp came right out. I thought about replacing the speaker wires in the sub...but those wires are soldered onto the circuit board :angry: Gotta be more careful. :emoji_thumbsup:
I just took out the srews surrounding the amp and the amp came right off. There might be some glue, try using more force to pry the amp off the cabinet. Maybe use a flat head screwdriver. But becareful, you don't wanna break anything :emoji_thumbsup:
can you give a link of the sony speakers? I've looked on the sony website but I can't find that specific model which you are describing. What do you think about the Sony SS line up? (SSMF600H, SSMF400H, SSMB100H, SSMB200H, SSMB300H, ETC) These speakers use the H.O.P woofers and the...
Ches, Yes, its definitely better to solder the wires. This is only my second time soldering and everything came out okay. Just take your time and don't rush. Also get a nose mask. The smoke from using the solder made me sick after a while;)

Ok, I have a tight budget. I need a set of bookshelf speakers for music (mostly pop/vocal stuff) for under $100. I know, I know.....there aren't much to choose from...but as a college student, my $$ options are really limited. Right now I have my eyes set on either the Polk R10's oe the Yamaha...
