Since both your PC and receiver have HDMI, then just use one cable like you said. I used to have an HK 430, and now have the Pioneer 92TXH. It's just sooooo convenient to have movies on the PC instead of in my DVD changer.
What connection are you using to get video from the HTPC to the projector? S-video, component? Just for comparison, and maybe it'll help you plan your purchase, I'll let you know how my system is setup. HTPC audio to receiver via optical. HTPC video to receiver via HDMI. Video from receiver...
I have 2 in-ceiling speakers for the backyard patio, and about 20' away I have 3 rock speakers. What receiver do I need to hook up these 5 speakers? The source will be primarily CD. If I use a 5.1 receiver, apply some DSP like Dolby PL Music, will I get equal sound from all 5 speakers? Or will...
I have a HD camcorder, excellent quality, no complaint. What I'd like to know is if there's any component that's dedicated for playback of those Mini DV tapes. I'm afraid that by using the camcorder for playing back (I do watch the tapes a lot), it'll get worn down much faster than if I only...
My wife ordered this online for me to replace our old HK AVR 430, she didn't know that I had already picked up the Pioneer 92TXH from a local store. I have no use for the 347 now, it just arrived today, still in the box, unopened. My wife paid $470 shipped through an Amazon's merchant. I will...
This player can be had for under $300, ($229 to be exact) so that's the ceiling for my budget now. I saw in the spec that it has pitch control, I'll never use this feature. So now I'm searching for a cd player with comparable in audio quality to the Marantz but without the bells and whistles. I...
Does a single disc cd player USUALLY have better audio and build quality than something like a dvd player or cd changer that also plays cd, within the same price range? Thanks,
I'm looking for a single CD player, no need for 5-disc or larger changer. Audio quality is #1 priority. I don't want to spend over $400 for this. Thanks for any leads.
Check out ecost.com for their factory refurbished AVRs. I just bought one of the Onkyo refurbs for my backyard rock speakers. Awesome deals can be had at that website.
