Just picked up the extended edition on blu-ray today and disc 1, the movie disc, refuses to play. My player, a sony bdp s350 doesn't recognize the disc. Anyone else having similar problems?
Some years back I had campaigned online to get Dan O'Bannon's "The Resurrected" released on DVD via Lionsgate. After many e-mails, phone calls with the guy who ran their home entertainment division, it got a DVD release in 2005 (all be it in a full screen only, bare bones version but whatever.)...
I think the Ghosts of Mars stuff was a bit too far in the future to work with the other stuff.
As I figured, a lot of his movies wouldn't work in this scenario but the three I mentioned would prolly work best.
Maybe they can get a crossover comic book going.
Not not all of his films existing in the same reality but maybe two or three of them?
Imagine Jack Crow meeting Snake Plisskin somewhere between NY & LA timelines battling vampires who wanna kill the president only to find out the president is actually an alien in disguise. Now they can't...

and that's great, really but that doesn't negate the idea of wasting their limited resources on a re-release.
Just as a side note, I was never a big time TT basher when this model of theirs came about. Somewhat critical, sure but I never blathered on and on about it. However I don't agree with...
TT *should* be actively looking at releasing new to BD titles rather than re-release others. The limited "get it NOW before they are gone despite the high price tag" feel of the whole thing will be greatly lessened to many of their customers and IMO will only hurt their brand.
It's that combination. They are releasing 3000 copies of this Sony film. Sony is not releasing catalog product as they are not interested. Physical media will be dead soon, etc. Saying all these things, without question, implies to the consumer that that 3000 copy run is it for that title. It...
I do have a problem with TT re-releasing titles IF they go from bare bones discs to ones suddenly having bonus features where there previously were none (Fright Night.)
You sell titles under the guise of it being a "limited edition" where only 3000 copies will be available to buy and once...
My amazon pre-order for the limited edition also says "not yet shipped" even though when I first pre-ordered it, it was listed as "pre-ordered." Also the LE no longer shows up on amazon when you search for it and there is no longer a product page for it even if you try to click on the title from...
I thought this would be one of those movies that'll never see the light of day again after VHS then one day I found the DVD on a Wal-Mart shelf so I bought it instantly (guilty pleasure to be sure.) Never thought it'd get a BD release until BAM they just announced it the other day for April 1st...
Warner Archive is happily releasing the entire series (all one season of it) for Green Lantern The Animated Series on Blu-Ray March 18th!! Though it was cancelled FAR FAR too soon at least it will get the proper HD release it always should have gotten (unfortunately I bought both volumes on DVD...
