Weird...but thanks! I'm relieved that something isn't wrong. Now if I can just figure out how to mess with the settings to optimize all of it....hmm....
I've had my reciever for quite some time, has done the job well. It's a Sony STR-DE895 until just a couple days ago it was only used in stereo. Well I finally got my surround speakers and coax cable...so now I'm in Dolby Digital. Huge difference! But...one I don't know how to figure out and...
What about the KD-34XBR960N? I've been checking it out at Best Buy the last few times I've gone there. I look at RP's and LCD's and keep coming back to that Sony...it just looks great. Any one else's thoughts? It's a bit pricey though...$1899....cheaper and I'd probably be all over it.
It really is....seems like a rough setup process though....ceiling mounting...screen...etc....and dont the bulbs not last long? Especially if I use it for TV too....
Well I looked at TV's again tonight at Best Buy....I'm really not liking the limited viewing angles of the RP sets. The only thing I could find that I really liked there were the flat screen HDTV's.....and unless I want something really small I'd be spending like $2500+.......eh....
You guys are gonna end up really sealing the deal on the SVS system! Haha....I guess there's only good things to say about it. Now I just need to save some pennies!
I think so far I might be leaning mostly towards the SBS setup as mylan suggested. As Colin mentioned, I'll actually be mounting any additional or new speakers about 3-4 feet away from my monitor so there shouldn't be any problems there. I'm liking the size and said performance of the...
Hmm....sounds nice to me! I just don't think I have my home theater setup in a room that work well with FP. Although it's definitely something to look into as it could provide better results with less $$$. At first I was actually looking at a 34" Sony HDTV that was just a regular flat tube tv...
Yeah sorry, after rereading my post, I see how it could come across like that. It was more of a laughing at myself like "haha, sucks that I have Bose" kinda thing....Definitely didn't mean to come across the way it seemed. We actually have 2 rooms for HT setups, so I may just put the Bose in...
Perhaps my post was taken in the wrong way. I didn't mean to come across like "Hey I have Bose, say something to me about it!" Not at all. The attitude you suspect is non exhistant in that post...I was saying "All my speakers were gifts too so :p" in a joking manner...I was making light of my...
So yes...it's true I have Bose! Haha...As mentioned in my first post, I have a pair of Bose 301 IV for my front speakers and a pair of Bose 161 for my rear surround speakers. Not the best, I know I know...but they sound pretty good and get the job done. All my speakers were gifts too so :p...
