I'll mainly be watching tv so they wont be there but will the amount of time spent watching movies be long enough to enduce burn-in? What can i do to eliminate or reduce...

    Having troubles with new plasma

Hey guys, I just bought the panasonic TH42PD50 and i'm having a little troubles with it. When i'm watching a dvd, i cannot get the black bars to go away. I have tried it with many dvds, played with all the aspect ratios and still nothing. The best i can get it is with the zoom aspect, but there...

Hey guys. I've almost convinced my dad to buy this plasma. Unfortunately, they do not have this displayed at any stores around town so we're just goin off what people say about it which I haven't found a lot of. There is a review on plasmatvbuyingguide which I got most of my infomation from...

Hey guys, I've been looking for a new plasma Tv and I'm pretty much have my eye on the Panasonic TH-42PWD7UY. A lot of users have had great experiences with it and the price is quite reasonable. My only problem is I can't find an online company that will ship to Canada. The reason I want to buy...

    LCD tv's

So for the money LCD is worth it? The only thing that people can see negatively towards an LCD is the black? Is there anything else I should be concerned with before telling my friend to go ahead on purchasing an LCD tv? Thanks.

    LCD tv's

Awesome, thanks for the input. Since LCoS tv's have to go through the crystals twice, does that mean there will be smearing as well since the time is doubled? Is their picture better than LCD's? Are there other Tv's that would be incomparison to the Sony Grand Wega 50inch LCD for the same price...

    Plasma really worth it?

Hey guys I have a question. Some dude at futureshop said plasmas have a short self life around 7 years. Is this true?

    Plasma really worth it?

Hey Rich, what model of the Panny do you have? How is the picture quality on projectors? Is it worth it to buy the screen and projector rather than a plasma? I know the size difference is huge but does the PQ drop substantially because of it?

Hey Rich, what model # is your panisonic? How would you go about fine tuning your plasma? How do you calibrate it? Thanks for all the input.

    Plasma really worth it?

I really dont get the reasons to have a plasma right now. I'm not too too knowledgable about tv's at this point, the only advantage i see when i look at a plasma is that it's thin, what advantages are out there when compared to "normal" tv's?

    Plasma really worth it?

Ok, i see your guy's points, thanks for the input. Say you were to properly calibrate both a plasma and a projection tv (are those called CRT's or RPTV's?) and say those two are top of the line. Would the picture quality be equally the same or would the plamsa have a better picture quality...
