So for the money LCD is worth it? The only thing that people can see negatively towards an LCD is the black? Is there anything else I should be concerned with before telling my friend to go ahead on purchasing an LCD tv? Thanks.

Awesome, thanks for the input. Since LCoS tv's have to go through the crystals twice, does that mean there will be smearing as well since the time is doubled? Is their picture better than LCD's? Are there other Tv's that would be incomparison to the Sony Grand Wega 50inch LCD for the same price...

I really dont get the reasons to have a plasma right now. I'm not too too knowledgable about tv's at this point, the only advantage i see when i look at a plasma is that it's thin, what advantages are out there when compared to "normal" tv's?
