I caught the front projection bug a few years back when I walked into a High End HT shop while visiting a friend in Atlanta. Within days I bought an old CRT projector, then an XVGA 1024x768 DLP. I have a BluRay player but still can't project FULL 1080p. I've wanted a 1080p projector since the...
What type of surround mode are you using? How loud are your surrounds adjusted? Some surround modes put some pretty strange sounds in the surround speakers to give a sense of space and if there turned up higher than normal (not calibrated properly) then that may be what your hearing.
Shop, and demo within your budget. It can be very Anti-Inspiring to listen to "GOOD" inexpensive (within your budget) speakers, after listening to "GREAT" (definitely NOT in your budget ) $10,000 Martin Logan's at a speciality store. If you don't want to spend beyond your budget, don't shop...

I have a Yamaha RX-V2500 on the way. It is 7.1 and my old receiver (also a Yamaha) is 6.1. I won't be getting an extra speaker any time soon and want to know the best way to hook the new receiver up for 6.1. Should I combine both rears with a splitter, use only one side or something else? I...
The Velcro is attached (I used hot glue) to the bottom of the case, right next to the slot and to the top edge of the mask (it hangs freely) . Make sure to use the soft side of the Velcro on the screen or it will grab the felt on the bottom bar when rolled up. I too was concerned about...
