AudioControl ships RS 500 subwoofer amplifier

AudioControl says it continues to support its AV and home theater dealers, as well as tech integrators, throughout the virus pandemic, and has announced that it is now shipping the RS 500 mono subwoofer amplifier.

The company calls the RS 500 “the ultimate” bass amplification solution for home cinemas, multi-zone audio setups or dedicated music systems. The RS 500 is capable of delivering 500 watts from its slimline 1U chassis into a 4 or 8-Ohm subwoofer. AudioControl promises that the unit will provide excellent bass response from any system care of high power and “rock solid stability” even into 2 ohms, if needed.

The high-end audio company puts emphasis on its product range suitability for integrators with the RS 500 incorporating IP and IR control, as well as loop outputs (with optional high-pass filter) along with balanced, unbalanced and speaker level inputs. These features are coupled with “limitless” adjustability of AudioControl’s DSP engine providing graphic and parametric EQs and an electronic crossover, along with delay and phase controls for precise calibration and tuning.

“At AudioControl, we are doing everything possible as a manufacturer and as a longstanding member of the audio/video community to support our important dealer network worldwide,” explained AudioControl CEO Alex Camara. “The RS 500 is quite simply the finest subwoofer amplifier out there, and a product that many have been asking us for. We are steadfast in our commitment to manufacture best-in-class audio solutions from our factory here in the United States, and will continue forward supporting our dealers in every way we can.”
