Hi
I'm new to this forum and would like anyone to give me advice for my problem with recording.
I work with an operative microscope that has a 4-pin S-video and coaxial output. I am trying to record live video for what I'm doing under the microscope at all time. Someone in my office has the Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket recording device that takes component or HDMI inputs. I need something small that can record video continuously on a USB stick or memory card. My questions are:
1) Does coaxial cable have better resolution than S-video?
2) If I go with coaxial cable, what other recording devices are out there?
3) If I go with the HD PVR Rocket, I'll need to convert the 4-pin S-video to component somehow. Does anyone know where to buy a cable with a male 4-pin S-video to male component video?
Thanks a bunch in advance...
Mike
