For two years now, I've been waiting for DTS Headphone X technology to migrate to A/V receivers. Despite having a full-on 5.1 home theater, there are times when having 5.1 discrete audio rattling around in the privacy of my skull would be nice. (Especially being the night owl that I am.)
However, despite a handful of Turtle Beach headphones, the technology has largely been MIA, especially to the home theater crowd. I already have a pair of decent headphones (KEF M500). At both CES demonstrations where I first heard the technology, DTS made a big point that the technology works with ANY headphones.
Has anyone heard if DTS H-X is planning to be available in AVRs anytime soon? I'm on the verge of having to replace my JVC D-702B A/V receiver (have my eye on the Marantz NR series, as I have component height challenges in my entertainment center).
Thanks!
