Does anyone have any idea when Disney is going to get off their butts and remaster this title? How long do I have to wait? I'm not getting any older.

SECONDED! This forum is for TV Shows, not movies. I suggest going to http://dvdtalk.com, they lean more for movies (although some TV show posts are also allowed).

All we know at this point is that a new transfer/restoration was struck years ago.

The film was supposed to be released to Blu-ray.

To date, it has not. Nobody knows if and when it will be.

As I stated before, I saw the DCP of the new transfer/restoration, and it looked very good to my eyes.

I've seen that one and it looks fantastic. The color is supposed to be turquoisy in those shots, not colonial blue. It was the 50s. Everything was turquoise and sea green.

I don't recall the DCP leaning towards teal. Flesh tones looked quite normal to me.

I haven't seen IB 35 but I have seen IB 16 and the colors looked the same.

Well a feller over at Blu-ray.com Darkstream (giving credit where credit due) found this just-released news blurb from director Bryan Singer. No news of a Blu-ray for the 1954 classic yet but a Bryan Singer remake may yet be in the cards.
Which could be the event that finally pushes Disney to release our beloved 1954 classic on Blu.

I hope you're right but I doubt it. I hoped that the remake of Walter Mitty would result in the Danny Kaye original being released, no luck.

I recently saw a 35mm IB Tech print of Swiss Family Robinson, and the color wasn't much different from the DVD or Blu-ray versions. I wouldn't call either of those "orange and teal."
