I think I saw this on initial release, I would have been 12.  It scared the bejeezus out of me.  Vincent Price plays a sympathetic character in the movie and I think this contributed to me not wanting him to play villains.  Boy did I get that wrong.

BTW, the spell checker didn't flag bejeezus, has it become an official word? :)

Ordered it.

I ended up ordering it directly from Foxconnect, with the ComiCon cover. Seems to be available now (didn't seem to be a preorder).

It wasnt a pre-order and mine was shipped today :) The comic - con is available now. My question is - if titles are ready already, why does a studio wait a few months before the release date ? Do they need to negotiate with retailers ?

Ron, is that cover art new original art? It's not familiar to me at all. I like it.

I cancelled my Amazon order and ordered it direct from FoxConnect.com.  Why wait for months when it can be here in days?

More expensive at FoxConnect especially if you factor in shipping costs.

True, it is $2.50 more from FoxConnect, plus shipping, but Amazon charges tax (and shipping, if you don't have Prime).  I'm going to call it a break-even, plus I don't have to wait 2 months.

I DO have Amazon Prime, so I'm going to be patient and wait till Sept.10th...it'll be a great way to celebrate my birthday that week anyway!!!

Let us know if you guys receive your copy early via FoxConnect.

I am no hurry, but interested to see if copies are immediately available.

I am not surprised Fox did a few Comic-Con exclusives like this.

I was eight years old when I saw it. My father was attending a convention in Atlanta, and my family went to this one afternoon. I spent most of the movie hiding my eyes I was so frightened. Can't believe my extreme reaction now, but back then horrific images on the screen were very rare (especially for a young kid), and I was just terrified.

Could someone let us know if the Blu contains the original directional audio? The DVD version I have did not have the directional audio. Thanks
