I'm heading over to Target in the very near future to cash in on the Sex and the City 9.99 sets.  Best price we're ever likely to see.  BB.com has 423 BD titles on sale, so it may be useful to check there if anyone's looking for something in particular.

That's a pic from Resident Evil Extinction, you can tell by the duster she's wearing. Here's her Afterlife outfit:

You know.  I probably used that image for that release.  Oh well.

I couldn't resist and pulled the trigger @ amazon for:

House: Season 6 $14.99

The Expendables (Blu) $12.99

The Pacific (Blu) $38.99

Considered the $12.99 The A-Team...but decided the deal on The Pacific was a much better value.  I figure The A-Team is headed for bargain bins eventually.  There will definitely end up in some used bins along the way.

Thanks.  It's worth noting that the ABC titles released by Disney include an inside-the-package coupon for $10 off another one: Cougar Town, Ugly Betty, Lost (DVDBR), Brothers & Sisters, Flashforward, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Castle, Desperate Housewives and Scrubs most recent seasons.  So if you need more than one of the 3 titles in Target's circular (Grey's, Lost, Castle), it would make the second one $10.  I got Grey's today in the $19.99 sale and will go back to grab Lost with the coupon for $10.  Just in case it would help anybody else.

Hmmm...  Is the Glee Season 1 BD really also $14.99 at Target?  OR is that just for the DVD?  I wasn't too sure when I saw the weekly ad.  The web site only has the DVD set for that price. Thanks. _Man_

No.  It's clear--both above and in the target ad.  The TV Shows are on DVD and there are some Blu movies at the same price.

I know what you mean, Dave.   I have been pleasantly surprised by some really incredibly low prices this holiday season.  Ever since Black Friday, there has been a constant string of really amazing deals available.  I really hope strong sales tell the retailers/studios that they need to keep prices down in order to engage the consumer. That BB half-price deal on The Pacific (matched by amazon) is just one example.  I just HAD to pull the trigger...knowing that I'd kick myself for probably not seeing that price again for a really long time.

I just finished watching The American and have to say it was a great movie.

Don't watch it expecting an action thriller, it was not that.

Maybe subtle or subdued could be good descriptions.
Also included are two of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in a film.

I Hope a review pops up on here I'd really like to read it and see what other HTF'ers think about it.

Slightly off topic, but just revealed today at an event in Hong Kong (I think) is HotToys 1/6th scale figure of Alice (Milla Jovovich) as Alice from Resident Evil: Afterlife. I brightened up their pic a bit. Click for larger.

Like the Iron Man 2 Scarlett Johanssen figure and the Blade 3 Jessica Biel figure, this will be a $200 figure (more or less), when it is released in 2011, due to the level of detail:

I was also going to hit BB to pick up The Other Guys BD (w/ a $5 mfr coupon), but the blizzard has rendered that essentially impossible for now -- maybe later this week when the snow clears out enough...

I have the Resident Evil: Afterlife Steelbook on order at Future Shop.  I really want to pick up The American, but will wait for a price drop.

Nice HotToys figure....I love the Iron Man and Dark Knight figures myself.  Too bad they are so damn expensive or I would get more of them for a future home theatre display.

BestBuy.com seems to still have "The Pacific" blu-ray for $38.99 if anyone missed the earlier offer or the Amazon match (back up to $64 at Amazon last I checked).

Hi Mike, Thanks for the heads up on "The Alien Anthology" boxset on Blu at Best Buy - using a Reward Zone $20.00 certificate, I was able to pick it up for approx $61.00 including sales tax. Much more importantly I had a wonderful time going through all 4 movies again - absolutley terrific presentations. Not much of an extras man but will do one or two later. Regards,
