Does anyone know if there's an entrance from the outside of the hotel/casino that will take you straight to the theater? Trying to see if possible to avoid the second-hand smoke as much as possible. According to this map, http://www.venetian.com/corp/map1.cfm , it looks like there is one, entering from the parking garage.

Also, how's the show?

Thanks.

The parking garage entrance is the quickest route. Out of the elevator, make a left and you'll be heading down a long walkway. At the end bear left and the escalators down will be a few steps away. At the bottom make a u turn and you will be looking into the foyer of the Phantom theater. I would suggest however that unless you have seen the Main entrance and and walked through the hotel before that you do so. It is a must see. Smoke is a factor only in the casino and even there the size of the place negates most if not all odor.
The new theater is without peer. Sound is as clean and well managed as I heard anywhere. The stage is a technical triumph as are the sets. The theater itself is beautiful and enhances the production. As far as the performance is concerned, we have seen 5 in L.A. and fully enjoyed them but the Venetian players shined above them all. Recommend that you go for the top tickets and sit in the Gold section. Worth every cent. Enjoy!

Thanks Mark. That was detailed enough. I've been to the Venetian a few times already, just wanted to make sure that the smoke could be avoided as much as possible for health reasons.

I've been told the Orchestra seats are better because the Golden ones are too close?

I heard that too. While no seat in the venue is poor, I would advise avoiding the first 2 or 3 rows, far sides and all but the front of the upper level. We sat 16th row center and were directly under the enormous chandelier. We could clearly see the actors expressions, costume details etc. Even recognised the Phantoms stand-in when he took stage. Very involving. As I recall ther is only $20 or difference in the tickets.
