I attended Quakecon over the weekend and grabbed a few pictures of the case mods that people had brought with them. Most of these were entered into the VIA case mod competition. Unfortunately I was not able to stick around to see who won. These are just a few of the ones that I thought looked the best. Unfortunately my 2 mega pixel camera is not the best and with the low light conditions it made it difficult to truly capture the greatness of some these cases.

This is probably the best looking mod I have ever seen! It wasn't in the actual competition but was at the VIA booth. It was called the humidor cluster and was absolutely gorgeous! This picture just does not do it justice at all. It was built by Jeffery L. Stephenson (www.slipperskip.com). Check out his site for another one of his humidor mods. Great stuff!!

This case hopefully won the competition. Yes the machine is completely submerged and yes the large radiator on the right side actually worked to cool the water... I saw the guys from G4TechTv interviewing the builder so you should see the case on Pulse sometime down the road.

This case was also very impressive. Full cooper box with intricately hand carved images on all sides (except the bottom)

My wife really liked this one. I call it the Martha case

Nice melting case

I wish I had gotten the web address for this mod. It was quite impressive.

This one looked really good in the complete dark as it glowed a nice dark green

Looks like this one was made out of a bike fender
