Well, like any alcohol, it depends on the type and quality. People drink a lot of schnapps over here in Germany, usually a shot or two after a big meal (they say it helps with digestion, but I personally think it's just another reason to continue with the Gemütlichkeit).

Williams Birne Pear Schnapps is great. I'm not real big on the sweeter kinds like peach and such, though I have a small glass occasionally.

When my wife was at grad school at West Virginia University, I learned that if you poured booze into a ziplock baggie and double bagged it for safety. You could get a liter into a game without breaking a sweat. We'd sneak in a liter of Bacardi and buy a few cokes at the concesion stand.
