Well the monitor tells you what signal you are getting from the player. If my blu-ray player is set to 1080p its going to say 1080p on the monitor even if the material on the disc is 1080i. The blu-ray player will convert that material from interlaced to progressive. Although my player tends to switch to whatever the native format on the disc is.

Sounds great then. Good to know, including that comparison of "real" PiP -- and I definitely agree w/ you on that. Thanks.

Hey Paul, good to hear replacements are going out. Did you have to do anything after the initial call to WB to get your replacement?

I called and gave them my info back in December I believe.
I was told someone would contact me when the disk was corrected.
I hadn't heard anymore about this until your post.

So, I was wondering if I should contact them again, or should I just expect to get something in the mail?

Just made the initial call in December, forgetting about it and it just showed up in the mail.

Skimmed through the movie last night and was thrilled at the PQ. Definitely a new and carefully authored disc.;)

As an aside, I want to thank Warner for their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction!

Is there any way to tell the difference between the new and old discs? (i.e. SKU on the packaging, different labels, etc.)

Thanks

Thanks for this thread guys. I need to check my disc tonight to see if I need to get a replacement copy or not (can't yet go 1080p to my display so I didn't know for sure... but want a corrected disc since I'll be upgrading to 1080p projector in the future)
