2 questions. 1) What is the deal with FILM and MOVIE modes?

2) What is the best Progressive DVD player that I can get for under $400 that will work best with my Toshiba 65H81? I have looked into the Panasonic RP-56 and DVD CV51 but I am open to any suggestion to get the absolute best picture that I can afford.

I have the Toshiba TW65X81 with a Toshiba SD6200 progressive scan DVD. You can find a progressive player for well under $400 these days. With your set properly calibrated the picture will look stunning.

As far as the modes go, I can't help you there.

Movie setting will turn off SVM. The Film setting furhter down the menu activates 3-2 pulldown

Sorry for my ignorance, what is SVM? And perhaps you could help me with a better explanation of the 3:2 pulldown than I got at work?
