Most of our guests are computer illiterate so even going into the web side for the chat is an issue for them. We need to make it easy for them to be able to use and at the same time keep the membership from sending them obscene and annoying private messages.

heh true. It certainly seemed John Landis was getting slightly aggravated with the technology at points.
The fact that all conversations have to go through the server certainly suggests that the server should have the functionality to ignore certain users(so far you haven't mentioned that DCC Chats are an issue at all but I doubt they are). we will just have to keep our thinking and googling hats on, I enjoyed the chats I made it to very much and look forward to a time when we can have them again.
