That being true, you may end up with the same problems no matter what sub you buy (assuming the room is part of the issue). Hope that is not true for you. Good look finding bass nervana!!

perhaps but the outlaw was never boomy so i dont see how, also i pulled the sub about 6 feet from the corner and it still seems boomy to me. maybe the outlaw didnt seem boomy because it fired into the carpet??

Hi Jeff,

It was mentioned casually earlier, but within or near the price range you describe, my suggestion for a "different flavor" of subwoofer would be the ACI Maestro. It is a sealed 15" system. I Craig Chase did a review which is posted up on the ACI website on the product page. Your preference for certain qualities of the LFM-1 and desire for more deep bass would make the Maestro a logical option to explore.
