Really good premiere.

One question though. The woman that took command of SGC in the season 7 finale, is the character Dr. Weir? I'm asking because it was a different actress in the finale than in the premiere, wasn't it?

Maybe an admin should retitle this thread to reflect the fact that it is morphing from a season 7 finale discussion to a "SG-1" season 8 and "SG Atlantis" thread.

BTW, I enjoyed the season opener. Not the greatest but got off to a good start. Nice to see Jack and Sam's promotion. Would have liked to have seen Hammond pass command of the SGC to Jack by pinning on the stars. Wonder what actually happened to VP Kinsey?

Good to see Thor back but I don't remember the Asgards as being so beaten by the Replicators that they lost their homeworld. How much support can they really give Earth. Do the Go'ulds know how weak the Asgards really are? Hmmmm.

Hopefully we will see what became of Jacob Carter and the Tok'ra.

Now for Atlantis tonight.

When I got done watching it last Friday, I was begging for more. Now I kind of feel that it is going to take a few more episodes before we find out what we want to.

As usual though, I'm sure they're going to do this to my satisfation.
