Almost everyone has gone home -- I have 15 minutes of work left. Monday is Kamehameha Day holiday for us.

I have steak for dinner.

I have the soul of an artist and the courage of a bureaucrat, which is why I'm a (fairly) successful statistician, rather than a (probably unsuccessful) musician/actor/writer.

My own death doesn't worry me one bit. But if my son or wife died before I did that would be the greatest tragedy I can imagine.

It's amazing what they teach kids in Kindergarten these days.

Velvia 50 is a really stunning film to shoot with, and so much easier to scan/adjust than negative film, but it's a shame the scanners keep telling me the thin negatives look better digitally than the dense ones that look incredible projected.

I want a 200 mm lens for my camera and a 500mm reflex. but I can't spend any money on anything at all right now.
