I have read that in Thailand where there are peanut products in everything, peanut allergies are almost unheard of.

I just looked that up however and there are some articles that dispute that. Pointing out the immunization schedule between US kids and kids from Thailand.

Another thing I read is that as a country we are too clean (hygienically) and that the things are bodies are fighting now are not harmful bacteria but food items.

Rapeseed oil is one of the largest cash crops in Idaho. Since the name sounds awful, the marketing people got together and invented a product name from wholecloth.

Rapeseed oil is now sold as CANOLA oil.



Canola, originally a syncopated form of the abbreviation "Can.O., L-A." (Canadian Oilseed, Low-Acid) that was used by the Manitoba government to label the seed during its experimental stages, is now a tradename for 'double low' (low erucic acid and low glucosinolate) rapeseed.
