My friend has had is v2 40s/CC for almost 2 years now and they still sound on the bright side to me, and they are paired with a Marantz SR18, though his room is quite bright as well. I ALWAYS ask how old demo speakers are (or at least if they consider them broken in). My 370 took about a week of solid use to break in, and I've heard the Studios can take longer.
