    Hi Don!

Personally, I will be upgrading to iLIfe 09. I do work with
camcorder footage and I am looking forward to what iMovie 09
can do for me. I am very impressed with the capabilities of Mac's movie
editing software. It's not overly complicated like FINAL CUT, and I can
make some very impressive home DVDs.

As far as iWork '09 is concerned, it doesn't seem to be of
major importance. The '08 version still has a very good word processing
    (PAGES) program.

Yes to both questions. [IMG] I'm excited about the upgrades and will upgrade both iLife and iWork sometime this year (I'd like to buy this weekend but my wife gets a new Mac this year, so I'm managing the purchases to minimize total cost).

Ars Technica is running some nice "first impressions" in their Apple Journal. Have a browse.

But these upgrades aren't necessary (unless you're a big iMovie user or Numbers user), so if you're frugally minded, save your money and hold off.
