Does anyone here know about what movies were part of these syndication packages of Columbia Pictures Television (of which the actual underlying division, Columbia/Embassy Television, early in 1988 changed its name to Columbia Pictures Entertainment, Inc. as a result of then-owner Coca-Cola wanting to divest itself of the entertainment business following the failure of the 1987 film Ishtar at the box office)???

Off-network shows in the promo you see in this issue:

Archie Bunker's Place (1979-83)

Barney Miller (1975-82)

Benson (1979-86; spinoff of Soap)

Carson's Comedy Classics (1983-90s; this half-hour daily syndicated series was a collection of segments and skits taken from the first 20 years of Johnny Carson's stint as host of NBC's The Tonight Show, of which his entire tenure on the show lasted for 30 years, from 1962-92)

Carter Country (1977-79)

Charlie's Angels (1976-81)

Diff'rent Strokes (1978-86)

The Facts of Life (1979-88; spinoff of Diff'rent Strokes)

Fantasy Island (1978-84)

Fish (1977-78; spinoff of Barney Miller)

Good Times (1974-79; spinoff of All In the Family)

Hart to Hart (1979-84)

The Jeffersons (1975-85; spinoff of All In the Family)

Maude (1972-78; spinoff of All In the Family)

One Day At a Time (1975-84)

Police Story (1973-77)

Police Woman (1974-78, spinoff of Police Story)

Punky Brewster (1984-88)

Sanford and Son (1972-77; follow-ups were 1977-78's Sanford Arms and 1980-81's Sanford)

Silver Spoons (1982-88; spinoff of The Facts of Life)

Square Pegs (1982-83)

Soap (1977-81)

Starsky & Hutch (1975-79)

S.W.A.T. (1974-76; spinoff of The Rookies)

The Three Stooges (syndicated package since 1958 of 220 namesake short films produced from 1934-70; 190 of them were produced by Columbia/Screen Gems)

T.J. Hooker (1982-87)

Who's the Boss? (1984-92; first four seasons were syndicated beginning September 1988)

Now onto the real topic. In 1988, the movie syndication packages (in the category of "Movies and Animation") of Columbia Pictures Television (CPT) were:

Columbia Night At the Movies

Columbia Gems

Columbia Gems II

Entertainer of the Year

Embassy II

Embassy III

TV 20

Volume IV

Volume V

Volume VI

For starters, I know Columbia Gems would refer to anything produced by Screen Gems (which changed to Columbia Pictures TV during 1974) and I think that TV 20 refers to a series of 20 made-for-TV movies produced by Columbia/Screen Gems. Is anyone able to decipher the individual contents of each syndication package mentioned therein, as well as which of the films part of these packages are available on DVD and Blu-Ray?

Thank you,

Good Times was a spin-off of Maude, not All In The Family.
True but Maude was a spin off from All in the Family so Good Times is in the family of Allin the Family. Btw what was the question by the time I got to the end of the post I forgot.
