Haven't seen anyone mention Fast Cheap And Out Of Control yet. That baby's slated for the 24th as well.
Along with:
Amadeus
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Singin' In The Rain
A Hard Day's Night
that'll make 5 for me. I reserve the right to scale up if necessary...

Ahem people 12-17-02 Does that date ring a bell for anyone else?

I wonder what else will be released on that date, of course we've still got a ways to go until we know what all will come out on that great day

Actually the greatest date for dvd releases hasn't arrived yet ;)
This will be when we get the Original Star Wars Trilogy on dvd, the Special Editions, and the rumored Archived Editions...flannel shirt editions or whatever they're called! This will be the single greatest day of dvd. :star:
Another great day will be a special edition for Chariots of Fire!

Is anyone selling the new Cuckoo's Nest yet? I just pre-ordered some of the other 9/24 titles from DVD Empire (Amadeus, Beavis, Trading Places) but they just had the original version of Cuckoo's Nest.

11/5 is also a red letter day (especially for my credit card):
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 5
Babylon 5 - Season 1
Now that I mention it, November is going to be a rough month for me :D
11/1 Spiderman
11/12 LOTR Special Edition
11/19 Band of Brothers

My wish list for 9/24 is pretty long:

Amadeus - Director's Cut
Beavis & Butthead: The History
Big Fat Liar
Festival in Cannes
Grease
Heavenly Creatures
Major League
Mary Tyler Moore: Season One
Monsoon Wedding
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Project Greenlight
Real World: New York - First Season
Singin in the Rain
Spellbound - Criterion
Swingers: SE
Trading Places
True Romance
Unforgiven

I'm going to have to cut some of these!

I've just flipped through my calander for end of Aug thru Sept. Holy crap! I hadn't realized! Usually I jot the title on the appropriate day and only look ahead maybe a week in advance.

14 titles from Aug 20th to the end of Sept - and I consider myself a more conservative buyer than most of you. That pretty much wipes out my credit card budget for the month.
And to think just last week I went out to DVDPlanet to pick up a couple older "on the checklist" titles because nothing of real interest has come out for me recently...

The day Can't Stop the Music was released was the greatest day in the history of DVD releases! Nothing else can top it (except maybe Thank God It's Friday!):)
If they released "TGiF", "The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh", and "Three the Hard Way" on the same day, an international celebration comparable to 12/31/1999 would be merited. ;)

Is Singin' in the Rain:SE still scheduled for Sept.24? Amazon.com lists it for October 8th.
I see what you mean about Amazon. In short, they appear to be wrong. Warner's Press Release, and three other WB-based sources, clearly states Sept. 24, 2002 for this. I am 100% positive of it. Unless Amazon is posting an update prior to WB themselves, then Amazon is just plain wrong.
