I was going to get a Denon 2900 for 507 from Ecost but the order was cancelled and they don't know when they will get more. I need a player and can't wait indefinitely.

I can get a 2900 from Dak Mart for 700 or a new one for about 800. Other consideration is the Denon 2200 for around 550-600. I am also considering the Pioneer 563 just to try DVD-A and SACD and maybe still keep my eye out for a 2900 at a good price.

Has anyone compared the Pioneer to the Denons. Any other ideas?

I will use 80/20 movie/musice with a Denon 3803 receiver.

Your help is appreciated.

Eric

Pioneer, Denon and some high end companies (Meridian?). The i link passes a signal that stays digital from source to receiver with no DAC. This also can ensure better implementation of bass management. The demos I have heard were quite impressive...
