No, but like you say, a few of them made it to video and/or Fox Movie Channel. Since the discussion with Fox was for a set of all their Laurel and Hardy films, my guess is only one or two are holding up a potential release. Since they were produced with Fox's B unit and to my knowledge, not based on any literary sources, I can't imagine what a problem there might be. But video rights can be so complicated nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised at anything.
John Murray as Dana Cannon: "Wait a minute. You're really serious? You're really going to give me a ticket?" James Keach as Deputy Halik: "I sure am. From the look of this vehicle I'm going to write you several tickets." John Murray as Dana Cannon: "Several tickets!?" "Okay, why don't we make this easy. Why don't you just pistolwhip me."
I would love to see these Fox Comedies out on dvd all in their OAR'S and anamorphic where aplicable.
Licence to Drive (One of my favorite movies) Scavenger Hunt Rhinestone (Realllly want this one as I really like it!!) Only the Lonely (I think one of Candy's best) Nuns on the Run (Needs to be on dvd!!) Robin Hood Men in Tights Dutch
Mel Brooks' films: Silent Movie High Anxiety To Be or not to Be (1983 and starring Mel Brooks and his wife Anne "Mrs. Robinson" Bancroft) Robin Hood Prince of Thieves rereleases of History of the World: Part 1 (and) The Twelve Chairs (with extras); Silver Streak Only the Lonely Dutch Bedazzled Nuns on the Run (and) The Pope must Die (both starring Robbie Coltraine) any Preston Sturges
extras on all would be great and appreciated. Great to see we're sharing the love on these comedies.
anamorphic Romancing the Stone with extras from Zemeckis and all would much appreciated as well.
Silver Streak has been mentioned several times, but I'll be more than happy to mention it again.
Speaking of which: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother and The World's Greatest Lover. Why Fox has been sitting on these Gene Wilder classics for so long is beyond me.
