Warrior (2011) - 2022 Steelbook release - remaster? (1 Viewer)

Gavin O'Connor's 2011 MMA/family drama epic is set for UHD/blu ray release with a Best Buy exclusive steelbook version at the end of August of this year. Does anyone know if this is a new transfer/remastering of the 4K disc? The film's a favorite of mine, but reviews for the current/previously released 4K were mixed, which resulted in my not purchasing it.

Wondering if this is simply repackaging or if it's a new transfer (hopefully improved) for the release.

Hi, sorry for the late response but I was wondering the exact same thing.
I found something disturbing. Apparently this happens quite often from what I'm reading.

The 4K transfer was done using the 2K digital intermediate, not from the original camera negative, which was film

I've seen bits of the new Blu-ray from Best Buy and it looks good but I can't be clear if it's been taken from the original camera negative or if they just did another transfer from the digital intermediate
