Well, it's about time. A truly memorable musical with a positively luminous Garland and a handsome and invigorated Kelly, both at the top of their game. Kudos to George Murphy too. Wonderful stuff here. Now, is WAC brave enough to give us Blu's of Babes in Arms and Babes on Broadway - two other stellar Judy classics that, alas, feature blackface routines and have thus remained off the radar for WAC.

Be brave. Be bold. Bring these to hi-def too, if you feel the need, with a 'woke' disclaimer about how 'wrong' blackface was. Sorry, not a fan of ascribing present mores and manners to classic film product that knew not of it at the time and are artifacts, decidedly, from another period in history, but nevertheless deserve to be seen on their own merits and for more diverse discussion about how far we've come and how far we still have left to go.

Yes. Bring back those snapper cases! It took extra effort to open those things, so your brow gleamed with anticipation. Now that was real showmanship! As Simone Signoret once said, nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Couldn't stand them. Always glad now when I can replace a DVD snapper with a Blu-ray keep case. They don't play nicely on my shelves, and that tiniest bit of extra room they take up adds up with multiples of them on any given shelf.

Inflicted pain and a removal of dignity should come to nobody. At the same time, though, if a contextual history is buried or erased then future generations will never know the extents of where we were, where we are and where we further still need to go.
