Video problem with Akai 54 inch HDTV from Sam's Club (1 Viewer)

I recently purchased the 54 inch HDTV from Sam's club. I have been very happy with it but I am having a problem with the video. I have it hooked to My satellite dish and sometimes on the picture it blurs for a microsecond and appears grainey. I have tried multiple cables as well as the s-video cable also I have rechecked the convergence and the satelite signal and the problem still exsists. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or what the problem might be?

Does the problem happen with all non-progressive scan non-HDTV video sources?
Could be a mediocre line doubler built into the TV, especially if still pictures are sharp while the entire picture is softer when there is motion.
Most HDTV ready sets use a built in line doubler for all interlaced inputs instead of gear down the picture tube scanning for them.
