Direct-order subwoofer maestros SVS have unveiled their latest SoundPath Ultra HDMI cables which meet both 2.1 and 2.1a specifications. The cables are available now in one- to three-meter lengths starting at $29.99. As well as earning 8K ultra high-speed certification, the cables can even pack in 10K resolution.
The 2.1a HDMI specification supports 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz resolution and framerates. 48Gbps bandwidth ensures 8K ultra high-speed skills, which include 8K video with HDR, and backwards compatibility for legacy standards. The cables further offer ARC and eARC, dynamic HDR, and naturally support for all surround and immersive audio formats. Gamers stand to benefit perhaps most in the near-term from the accelerated framerates, variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM), the latter for smooth and lag-free viewing and interactivity.
