I went to a local higher end HT dealer and for around $2000 he was reconmending for a 5.1 system
Paradigm
espritv4b -- front
cc170v4b -- center
adp170 -- rear
B&W
ASW600 --sub
and
Denon AVR 1905

They sounded good, but I would really like to keep the price closer to the 1000-1500 range.
Is this a good setup? I prefer floor fronts and dipole suround.I also want the to stick with a 7.1 receiver so I can add the other two speakers later.

Thanks,jb

Check out Swans. I have 2.1 and they are excellent speakers for the money. Plus the CC170 is an awful center speaker. I used to own it in my paradigm setup before I went Swan. THe black cherry speakers are a real deal. Just my opinion though!
