I was going to go see it, but unfortunately I made previous plans to have someone hit me in the head repeatedly with a hammer.

LOL!
I was going to see it too, but I'm having fish hooks placed in the spaces between my fingers while the lines are attatched to my shoes, then run a marathon. busy weekend, too busy to see Glitter.

Mariah Carey looks alot like Cher in the face. She looks like she's had too much plastic surgery or something.

If this film was showing in my market, I certainly would suffer through the two hours of bad acting and bad writing (from what I've read) just to see Mariah Carey on the big screen. Unlike the previous two posters, I find Mariah Carey to be strikingly beautiful. The attitude she conveys in interviews needs to go, but she's pure eye candy to me.

I tried to convince some of my friends to go see it. They wouldn't bite. Thank god!

You mean it's going to be out of theaters soon?
Maybe I made a mistake going to see Apocalypse Now Redux instead of Glitter last night.

Whew. Just checked and this film is not playing near me. That's a relief. Wouldn't want the steady to get any funny notions.

I really hope this movie becomes a cult classic, and that in 5 years it will playing at midnight showings where people dress in drag and act out scenes in the theater.

And yet I heard news reports blaming the terrorist attack as the reason people stayed home last weekend. This despite the fact that many news outlets reported that visits to the theater were actually pretty brisk on the first weekend after the attack.
Are they so stupid that they:
A) don't realize that on the first weekend many people needed to escape and ALL SPORTS was cancelled whereas...
B) the 2nd weekend had a choice of films that were the same as the week before except for these 2 dazzling releases - Glitter and Omega Code 2. Nice. Did these dipshits totally forget how we all were acknowledging that the post-Labor day period is one of the worst points of the year for quality film releases, and that this weekend was one of the worst all-time in terms of new films???
It's no wonder that "The Others" climbed back up the list. There was nothing new and good out, so many people had to look at what they had already passed up and go for the one with the good word of mouth (or see it again with no alternatives).
Was it just me or did some of you also think for just a second that a 2nd terrorist attack was underway when Glitter opened last weekend.

If Bush really wants to hit the Taliban where it hurts all he needs to do is get Glitter and Megiddo released in Afghanastan. They will be begging for mercy within hours. :)
And BTW, I don't mean to make it sound like I am making light of the Sept 11th events. I only mean to mention it in the abstract manner, rather than lessen the very real and personal suffering for those involved.

Tortilla Soup has out grossed Glitter. Never heard of it? Neither have I so I guess that shows us how many people lined up for Glitter.

In other Mariah news her latest song is intitled "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life". I guess one of those fools was crazy enough to play one of her songs. This woman has nowhere to go but down down down.

Tortilla Soup is definitely recognizable within the indie crowd. Glitter should not be mentioned in the same sentence as TS. ;)

Funny...
I would have gone to see it, had I not already made plans to fly out to Vancouver and hit some guy in the head with a hammer.
Maybe I'll catch the DVD?
